Yes, everything is now working. And it's a lot of fun it must have had something to do with windowed mode.

I clicked the maximize button and now all of the sudden i can see the main menu.

I just got the game on steam because it looks like it'll be a blast to play, but when i start up the game it has the outline of a window, but there's nothing in it (not white screen, not black screen, just doesn't update itself and looks like whatever's behind it) and it sits like that using 50% cpu forever. I just reinstalled, verified my cache, and updated my video drivers too. I don't know where the logs for the game are stored but here are my specs: Intel® Core2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86 GHz(2 CPUs) 2046MB RAM DirectX 9 ATI Radeon HD 5450 Running XP
