      Thanks, I guess :p

  2. Happening to me aswell. Using 2x Radeon 5970, I don't think this is related to GPU that we are using. I think the problem is, something required is actually missing on our computers. Although, thinking about it, if there was something missing, I guess we'd be seeing entire screen black, not just the world. When I open the map, it is also blank. I can hear myself moving around when I click somewhere though. The menu, etc... are all in order. Here are the screenshots (right click - view image to see it all without problems)
  3. Spawned with a crazy map.

That's a lucky start indeed. On my game, third island that I've explored is kinda the same. I don't know how many rocks that I've broken down, but there was an insane amount - enough to get 2 stacks of gold that is. And it is on this island that I've first encountered tallbirds, and graves. I believe this island has a specific/similar seed, many rocks, graves, tallbird nests, etc...
  4. Nov 13 Build Preview

    Some sort of snowman, right?
  5. "Optimus Pine" left me alone!

I had to plant 4 cones aswell. He goes back to sleeping after planting 4 cones... been testing it, guess my treeguard wants me to plant 4 cones when it is angry. Tomorrow, I'll grab 2 stacks of cones, and see if there is a point system or not. Maybe there is, maybe there isn't, but as I've said, the treeguard that I've found didn't attack me as Soon as I started chopping, it started attacking after a while. On my other tries, after planting 4 cones each time (to make him "neutral" again), it only took one axe swing to wake him up again. We will see
  6. So, I was chopping some wood down, then suddenly optimus pine started moving towards me... Not knowing what to do, I planted all the pine cones I had, and it stopped... I wonder something; he started attacking after I was finished chopping down the tree. Every time you attack, you accumulate "tree murderer" points maybe? And maybe planting cones reduces this point, towards opposite end "tree hugger"? I'm saying this because usually they start attacking right after you touch a tree. And won't stop easily. On this game of mine, I planted many, MANY trees... Just wondering
  7. [Old] Feed the Machine 1

Tallbird Eggs (also, fried Tallbird eggs) give 80 science :)Frieflies were giving 5 or 7 I think.
  8. Oh, haven't noticed that there is a lore section! My bad. Move this please
  9. My first game... Loving it so far.My first island is lovely, however I wasn't able to find many rocks to mine. Only enough to build 2 fire pits. I've Built a "fence" with the trees, because there are spider nests in every direction. Spent a good deal of nights running mindlessly around my fire pit to avoid spiders; they are scared of the fire, but sometimes they ignore it completely. Tree fence helped with that greatly. One night however, I made a mistake of poking one of their eyes at night, which caused an entire horde of spiders to chase me till the dusk. Never again.I've built some shovels, and moved many berry bushes to my camp, which is surrounded with a tree fence. Not only bushes, but also some grass and saplings aswell. Mother Nature has been kind to me. I only chopped the oldest trees, and planted young ones right away. I even removed the tree stumps, have to keep the place tidy somehow.I put traps everywhere in my camp. You can never be too careful with these spiders moving around. I won't destroy their nests, as they have every right to be there as well as I am. Just... keep them away from me...Once my camp was protected, and had enough to supply itself, I started to explore the next island. It was relatively smaller and lacked the resources I've needed... So I burnt the forest to gather charcoal fast(er). Mother Nature seems to be OK, as long as I plant the cones I've gathered on the first island.Food has been a problem. Not the food itself, but the variety of it, so to speak. I wish I was able to get some farm plots, but I lack the fertilizers. Maybe in the future I can build a pig house, and get the manure I need from there.Third island is... different however. New things that I haven't seen. Many graves. I won't touch them until I'm sure I'm ready for whatever I face. Oh and, finally, many rocks! I've collected around 60 gold! Most of them went to research, as I was direly in need of some new stuff... I was able to equip myself with a log suit and a spear, aswell as unlock some new stuff like chests, tents, straw rolls, etc... Chests were a great help; to tidy up my first camp. Also, settled a new camp on this third island. I won't be needing a tree-fence, since there aren't any hostile nests around. I think I'll keep burning the second island for quick charcoal, while planting new trees over there. And I'll keep exploring this third island meanwhile.I've located 2 Tallbirds! Right next to each other, and laying eggs nearly every day or so! To test it out, I had to eat one of the eggs though. It wasn't that satisfactory. However, when I throw one of them to my research machine, holy cow! 80! Now I can save up the rest of the gold and use tallbird eggs for research I guess... Wish I could do something for them, maybe feeding them somehow? Leaving them alone would be the best for them, but I really need those eggs... Wish I could return the "favor" somehow.Food is short in the third island though. Just a handful of berry bushes around. If I'm to get some pig house and farming plots, third island is where I need them most. First island could use some of those as decoration too. But real use would be here on the third island.Onwards to the fourth island!
  10. Random stuff

Yeah, noticed the trap + spider thing. You get meat instead of monster meat. Also, sometimes there'll be an odd spider out which would refuse to "go into" another trap. And sometimes fewer spiders can set off multiple (more) traps.
  11. There aren't many stealth games out there. And most of them are not that good.Mark of the Ninja has a very nice advantage over here, among all those stealth-y games. This game is 2D, and uses this advantage to the full extent; you can see lights, night vision & vision trails, aswell as sound "circles". It doesn't have any complications that a 3D game would have, instead it provides you with more.Bla bla bla... one thing still really bugs me though.Dear Klei, if you develop another stealth game in the future, please add more interactions between the NPCs, guards so to speak. What I'm saying is, lets assume there are two guys chatting. I distract them somehow, and both look at the same direction. One of them tells the other to go check it out, which is more than any other stealth game that I've ever played. However, when you take care of the guy that stood there, and the other guy gets back, it's like everything is normal... Or, a guard is patrolling an area, and passes by a stationary guy / gets eye contact with another patrol. When they go missing, our guard is none the wiser.I mean 15 secs ago, you were chatting with someone, you got distracted and went to check it out, and when you get back, that person you were chatting with is gone. Or, as I've told, you saw a friendly, but then s/he went missing (so to speak). No radio, no yelling (yelling in order to provide information - like "I'm gonna get a drink"), no nothing. Why don't they get confused?Another thing that really bothers me is, stuff going back to normal after a "near miss". What I mean is, if they spot you, they go and check it out - which is good. But then they go back to normal. Why not get suspicious?I know maybe I'm asking for much. But for a stealth game, these are the top priority stuff in my opinion. In Mark of the Ninja, there are 4 states as far as I can tell; Normal, Distracted, Alarmed and Terrified. Why not "suspicious" and "confused" states aswell? If you get spotted, guard(s) in that area will get suspicious, their "FOV" could get wider and they could check hiding spots randomly. Or, if a guard gets confused, they'll look around a little bit, check in with other guards face to face, and they get suspicious all together in an area. And enough suspicious activity releases an alarm maybe.Don't get me wrong, these are not requests. Just some stuff to consider, maybe for a future project
  12. Hello Klei! Mark of the Ninja rocks!Anyway, I have a small thing to ask though. I am no fan of custom fuses... Is it possible to choose whether or not to use custom fuse? I got the upgrades as there wasn't much else to get, then realized I have no choice but to use them... Or, maybe while in focus mode, M1 uses "short fuse" while M2 uses "custom fuse"? In other words, M1 acts like there is no upgrade, M2 acts like there is... Just a silly request.Or if someone can help me edit my save, and get rid of the fuse upgrades, that'd work too!
