  1. ok, campfires...still already on the map. Along with the big pig, which has always been surrounded by other pigs. Graves. ect. Anyways you got my point. And what would you call it if not an army of pig men. Equipped characters that will attack when you do...hmm. anyways, parallelblade, your ideas could be interesting. I'm curious now.

    Campfire is NOT Fire Pit. Please... don't make me draw you what this means.

  2. 2. The map does have icons for fireplaces, ect. Doesn't need more detail really. Although the compass is a good idea.

    How much did you play? There is no tent, beefalo, pigman, different biome (you could say that the background is kinda different), fireplace (that's a fire pit, different thing) and no chest icons for the minimap. And lets be honest, chests and tents should have been there.

    5. Best idea on this. An army at your disposal with customized equipment. Could be really interesting.

    An army? That would get really stale really quick in my honest opinion. Have some pigmen, armor them up, go after spiders, watch everything die and lag the screen up. And I never mentioned "army".

  3. So I will stop hear the whining of another whenever I critique other one's ideas, here I go posting my own. Do note that most of my ideas will be going towards enhancing the player experience rather than saying "add this, add that, more items, more monsters" because lets be honest. This game is in beta. That means they will be adding content until it's free to go in the wild. Until then... this is what could work:

    1. A clearer craft UI:

    The craft interface always covers up the left side of the screen, and at times, you could use either the extra view distance, or just have a less cluttered screen. The solution would be easy, add a button, with an image that could mean crafting, or just the words written on the button, the use is to reduce the general amount of space that it's used in the crafting interface when not using the crafting interface.

    2. Map improvements:

    I know the map is still to be set in stone, but I would like seeing some extra details like geographical coordinates (North, South, West, East, etc), after people learn about using the spinning function of the camera, they may get a bit confused, the map shifting in the same time as the point of view.

    Another small thing is for other things to appear on the map; though I said I won't do this, but icons for the beefalos, tents, pig houses, chests and even campfires would help a lot in the orientation of the new player.

    3. Options

    I don't see anything labeled "options", at least the sound in this early stage, I usually have a podcast or something similar on the background, and entering combat, against a rabbit... is not that exciting...

    4. Choice of music for certain situations

    The soundtrack is very good (whenever it happens), but because I'm going to one-hit a rabbit with a pickaxe, that doesn't mean I need very vibrant combat music that I get against spiders. Something like a musical cue of 2-3 seconds would work best to exemplify the "feat" of getting a rabbit dead and getting something little to eat.

    5. Further chase on the path of the seemingly "point and click"

    I am not asking you to dunk your head in a barrel of drugs and get high and continue making this game as a point and click (that's expensive, lets be honest), but evolving the idea that "item X does Y to Z" is an interesting idea in a survival game of this type. For example, you can give your Pigman something to eat, or something else which he could use, like a pickaxe, or even armor. The ideas are limitless.

  4. Too much things to tell you, but not enough vocabulary, Im sorry, but you're doing it wrong, I havent seen any posts of you, giving ideas, just criticizing, anyway gg bro ure doing it great, dumbass.

    Isn't this a forum? Isn't the idea of giving ideas and taking critique from the ideas? The reason I'm not posting any is because I don't want to post things that might have already been posted or the staff is already doing. Your hostility towards me means only that you lack the mind to use your words in a compelling manner so you can show me I am wrong. Throwing insults ain't gonna help anybody kiddo.

  5. 1) It's an easy way to catch effective food.2) It would be too easy then. Spiders are naturally afraid of fire, but if you piss them off, they WILL rip you to shreds. 3) This is said too often, this is a beta, do you expect everything?4) Why not make a list for yourself? And why do we "need" one? Isn't science trial and error?5) You get yer water from eating vegetables and fruit if you think about it.


  6. Click on rabbit, click elsewhere, pigman will go and attack the rabbit, and the rabbit will not run. It will just stay there waiting to be turned into a tasty morsel. I think this is a bug, because in the areas filled with rabbits you can get tons of morsels with little effort.Also, crows seem to be immune to pigs.


  7. 1. Once you build a farm it gets boring. You can live off of your farm and stay there to live. Might change that up to where you get surprises for exploring as an incentive. Like points for something like research or experience.2. The experience system needs tweeking. I was on day 27 and started new map. Lost all experience. I don't think you should have to die to get your experience. It should be a running total for playing the game or you have to do something to gain the experience.3. It would be neat to see a house that you can customize. Maybe build a house with collected items, then to customize the house takes more scavenging to keep the game from hitting a stand still.4. The research system also needs to be tweeked. I can plant eggs, then kill it, take the items, then plant, and repeat all day to get an unlimited amount of silk to use for research. Maybe have everything you do give you intelligence points that you use at the research center instead of items. 5. It would be nice to have the game tied to the google account instead of the computer. I like to play at work sometimes but can't continue a saved game from the house. Just an idea. 6. It would also be neat to see maybe one other character in there as like a partner that you have to find...or save. Just someone to keep you company. The conversation possibilities are endless.7. Would be interesting to see more monster variety and maybe boss monsters per island or something equivalent. 8. Different armor and weapons to be made would be a plus. Maybe ad in iron ore deposits for stronger armor or actual weapons.9. Science seems to be the theme here so what about a robot to help. Maybe can send him on errands once a day to collect items that you normally are far away from.10. Just for kicks and to fill up the number 10 slot. How about having each character being able to craft different things depending on their abilities.Hope this gets the gears going.

    1. You need wood. Without wood you don't get fire. Without fire, you die.2. The Game is in beta...3. You know this game is in early beta, right?4. Of course there are still some exploits, but those being available it doesn't mean you can abuse them. Also, don't the eggs spawn spiders after they're hit, when they're planted? PS: I think I forgot to tell you,game is in beta.5. This one could work, they have plans in future, but for now nothing is set in stone, there are other priorities.6. You can give meat or something to pigmen. If you cut a tree, they cut trees, or something. Play the game some more.7. *sigh* Give me a B! Give me a E! Give me a T! Give me an A! What do we get? Betacarotene!8. I said this so many times it's silly. There's a combat tab, the two crossed swords, with just one thing. They will add stuff in the future oooo.9. How do you want to make a robot in the middle of the wilderness? Keep some logic around here.10. That would be weird, but that is already in the game, somewhat. Two characters can't grow beards so they can't make the effigy. And it would be kinda pointless for a singleplayer experience. If it would be coop or such, it could work, but because it's singleplayer it would take too much time and too many resources from the game to make something that would pretty much annoy the veterans of this game.

  8. Best way to hunt rabbits is to draw an imaginary line between you, the rabbit hole, and the rabbit. You click on the rabbit after you are between him and the rabbit hole. Usually you're behind his hole, and you click on the rabbit. Free morsel, ONLY if the rabbit is not within 2-2.5 CM's of the hole.


  9. Well, seeing that people like to do this, I will give it a shot. Rambling words in 3, 2, 1...I've died several times in this game (most due to spiders, curse 'em), and managed to get a personal best of ten days, alongside a functional camp, I think this game works pretty well considering the stage in which the game is. The animation quality is great, but I don't know if it's a beta thing or not, but the beefalos (or how you call them) are a bit better animated than the other counterparts (pigmen or spiders, or even the main character), nothing against that, mostly because their image fits very well with the desert/savannah zone they are. Continuing...The crafting system is very well set-up, but I do have a problem every time I look at it... I know this is a game and it mixes magic and science, but I have yet to figure out, how does the science machine works. Put item in, get points. At least it should've been some sort of table or something similar. This one strikes an odd chord whenever I put something in it, mostly looking at it and saying to myself "what does it do with the item...".Continuing, the interface is pretty well made, and quite intuitive, and the idea of the game pretty much offers a small view of the point and click (excepting the combination from the inventory window, and weird complex puzzles that are probably made by people high on something).Another thing in this game is that I never felt cheated when I died, if I died, I always had a reason, I whacked on a tier 3 spider den-mabob, heck, I deserve to die under a swarm of spiders, I forget to make a fire or lack the items because I wanted to make a fast science-machine-thing, okay, my APM couldn't help me kill the spiders well enough... you get it. When you die, you're at fault.Now onto the small things.You'd think than when you rightclick an equipped item it would end in your inventory... it actually drops, and I found that out when I wanted to change my torch to an axe, and when to fire up a spider lair, I had it no more. I was just saying.Maxwell, or how you call him, why not offer some more references to him, randomly in the game? Give it a story, or something. You don't even have a reason why to live if I'm honest, nothing beside the reason "to live". Is there any other reason? Revenge? Something?Welp, these are my points.
