  1. There are still fundamental issues on the Switch version of the game as of May 2021. Cave loading bug Ruins loading bug Seasons changing upon entering caves (i.e. Spring forever)
  2. Game breaking bugs I've encountered: Cave loading does not work without a game restart Entering ruins also freezes/crashes the game Entering the caves/ruins sets your season to Spring (best as I can see, forever) The first two I can deal with. Not game-breaking, but annoying (I bought the game on sale, fine). The last bullet point, is unforgivable. A game based on the changing of the seasons getting stuck in a single season breaks/corrupts your whole world and wastes all the time you put into each world. As far as I can tell this has not been addressed. I've purchased this game on three platforms now (xbox, PC, switch) because I wanted to support Klei (a developer I admire for their work and notably, DST), but I cannot endorse the Switch version of this game as it stands. I know this is getting rant-y at this point, but it's pretty irksome. tl;dr Switch version has game-breaking bugs. Klei should ensure a (at the very least) stable version of the game or not distribute it on those platforms. I've requested and received a refund from Nintendo. You should too.
  3. I'm getting the exact same issue. It seems like this game is just not being maintained. I don't see the merit in putting games on platforms if you cannot maintain them. I'm not mad, just disappointed. Copy below from other replies in the hopes someone sees this... The cave loading is completely broken; when I leave the caves my world is permanently stuck in Spring. I hope this is just Nintendo being annoying and slowing down updates, but I suspect Klei just abandoned this version of the game, doesn't care enough, or is just stretching themselves too thin. It's great that DST is being so well maintained, but I won't be paying for a broken version of the game even if it's the old, single-player version. Heck, I just made this forum account to hopefully notify Klei that the switch version is fundamentally broken. I don't ever do this, but I suggest you do as I did and get a refund from Nintendo until this is patched. Full stop.
  4. It is spooky how similar your experience was to mine. Word for word. These bugs fundamentally break the game for me and I suspect many others. Here's my copypasta below: The cave loading is completely broken; when I leave the caves my world is permanently stuck in Spring.
