It's for certain an interesting idea Blu_Ni but I believe that this would be a DRASTIC change that would divide the community because it's kinda changing the nature and concept of the character until know ( Yes I understand that is your point ). Actually I like the idea of the puppets because from Maxwell personality he is the kinda of guy who let other do the work for him, but if he want the work well done he has to do it himself, I love this ideia to problem is that the puppets are way to dump and some times mess with your decoration or resources. As for combat I also think he should be very weak at it, exept em using nigthmare gear, in fact I believe that he should use nigthmare gear and magic better than the others, but back to the point he should have a way to influence creatures to do the to do the biting for him. but this is totally based in my personal experience when summon the tree guards then sit and watch then beating deerclops and say, this fits Maxwell so well.
  2. We know all characters are gonna recive a rework, for now I don't have good ideias for Maxwell but here are some small changes. Maxwell now can click at the codex in his inventory, doing so will command the shadows if they should work or follow Maxwell. Shadows now prioritize big trees over small ones. Maxwell know can click in a shadow, doing so will make the shadow stop following him and working in a small range arround the area, if Maxwell not pick up the shadow in one day the shadow dies.
  3. YES, I would love to get distracted by a random set piece at the sea, why not? also, you think that would be a good idea that instead of we seeing that the constant is plane we have the same teleport fog as is shipwreck?
  4. with the mask he would have no downsides, there is mods for who want to play with him this way tho. When Webber recive his rework what I want the most it's to be able to use spider variants in a solid way, maybe he gaining the ability to transform nests with resources, moon rock to moon island spiders, nitre for the cave tank spiders, I don't know maybe even new spider quenn variants.
  5. Hey lads, I just want to know what do you think about Webber ins his current state, I don't have any ideias for a rework but I believe that it would be a big step if spidders didn't break walls or doors, this way it would be easyer for Webber to base with others.
  6. I also believe that Winona still not there yet, I really agre with the majority of this post, Winona actually has only structures, that you can't even turn then on or off, as special skill and the downsides are more annoyance than actual downsides.

WX-78 is considered one of the best characters in the game, and yet he bringas nothing to the table for his allies, I know that he is a sentient robot without emphat, but there is 2 things that bother me one is that he doesn't look like a DST character and that he don’t feels like a robot when you play him, he is just a Wilson ho wants to eat all the gears instead of letting people build fridges and flingomatics, and that’s why i’m writing this, I want to give, and the help of you guys, improve ideas for Wx be refreshed and more enjoyable to play with and along. ( New? ) Main Ability Upgrades: WX now has “levels” which are acquired by eating gears or with time because of his AI and lose levels by crafting gears, dying or changing character. The levels are 0 to 4 and he starts the game at level 1. With these levels Wx gains new abilities and existing ones turn more effective. Status: LVL 0: Health: 100 to 150 Hunger: 100 to 131,25 Sanity: 100 to 137,5 ( New ) Charge: 0 to 25 LVL 1: Health: 150 to 200 Hunger: 131,25 to 162,5 Sanity: 137,5 to 175 ( New ) Charge: 25 to 50 LVL 2: Health: 200 to 250 Hunger: 162,5 to 193,75 Sanity: 175 to 212,5 ( New ) Charge: 50 to 75 LVL 3: Health: 250 to 300 Hunger: 193,75 to 225 Sanity: 212,5 to 250 ( New ) Charge: 75 to 100 LVL 4: Health: 300 Hunger: 225 Sanity: 250 ( New ) Charge: 100 Modifiers: LVL 0: Damage: 0,75 The rest: 1,0 LVL 1, 2 ,3 and 4: All of them: 1,0 Abilities: ( New? ) Upgrade: When WX survives one day or eat a gear he gains 5 max health, 6,25 max hunger, 7,5 max sanity and 5 max charge; When he eats 5 gears or survive 5 days he levels up, gaining adicional abilities; When WX eats a gear after level 4 he restores 30 health, 22,5 hunger, 25 sanity and 10 charge; If WX dies or the player change character he drops half of his current as gears and when is resurrect or changed back he comes back at level 0. ( New ) Deconstruction: WX can lose 10 max health, 6,25 max hunger, 7,5 max sanity and 5 max charge to craft a gear at th reffining tab. ( same ammount he gains by eating a gear or surviving one day ). ( New ) Charge: WX now has charge, something he consumes to make use of his abilities and give fuel to structures; He recharges instantly when struck by lightning and gradually by not doing an action that consumes charge; The speed that charge recharges is according to his hunger; When his charge is not full, according with his current state, his hunger drains 50% faster, if his hunger drops to 0 He will start to lose charge, instead of health, at an alarming hate, if his charge drops to 0 his base speed modifier will be 0,75 until he gains at least 5 charge, if his charge and hunger drops to 0 he instantanialy die. Frail System: Wagstaff had difficulty trying to make his automaton waterproof so when WX is wet he takes damage, the damage increases with the wetness. ( New ) Electric Absorption: WX now attracts lightning the same way as a lightning rod; when he takes electric damage he heals instead of taking damage. When he is struck by lightning he recharges by 100, gains a valor equals to 10% of his atual max hunger in hunger, and loses a valor equals to 10 % of his atual max sanity in sanity. This does work from level 1 to 4. ( New? ) Discharge: WX can use his charge to enter in a mode where he emits light and heath nearby, get Immunity to freezing and his base speed increases by 50%, he can activate and deactivate this whenever he pleases; he still loses the same ammout of sanity per minute wilhe in this state. Can be used from Level 1 to 4. ( New? ) Overcharge: When WX is struck by lightning his charge meter breaks going up to 200 Max when this happens discharge is activated and can’t be deactivated until his charge drops back to his actual max. ( New ) Overheat: WX spends more charge when his temperature is high and less charge when it’s low. ( New? ) It’s only fuel: WX no longer heals from food, except for geely beans, but he always gains the full benefit of hunger and sanity. ( New ) Auto Repair: WX helas a small amount per second, based on his actual max health, when he is not fighting, interacting with structures, crafting or performing tasks; When not full health his charge will not recharge with time. This does work from level 2 to 4. ( New ) Metal Body: WX now has 10% of damage absorption but healing itens have just 25% of the effectveness. ( New ) Electric defense: When WX is hit by something he deals 20 electric damage back, costing him 5 charge. This does work from level 2 to 4. ( New ) Electric Offense: WX melee attacks are considered electric damage. This does work from level 3 to 4. ( New ) Powerful discharge: WX can perform a ranged attack dealing 40 electric damage similar to that of the bishop using 20 charge. This does work from level 4.   9. It's really nice to be able to talk about this with the community, and I'am thankfull to you guys to help forge this idea, this post is just to give some justification. Speed: 1,10 This is just because I think that fits wes be just a little bit faster than others survivors, and the sinergy with attracting more mobs, so he can be a decoy for team mates. ( New ) Cold and Heat Isolation: 0,85 ( New ) Damage Received: 1,15 This is because I belive wes is suppose to be the game hard mode and I wanted to emphasize this, initially I was thinking then to be 25% worst than wilson, like his others status, but I thougth it would be too much, expecialy because what I understand of the new characther desing filosofy of DST. Wes now aggro mobs more easily and mobs take longer to lose interest in Wes. Just think it fits him, by playing alone is a part of his downsides and with more people we'll act as a decoy. Wes now is stuck by lighting more frequently. I had the base think in mind when I thok about this, the ideia is that ligthning are supposed to hit Wes directaly and not be more frequent near him, this will give him a harder time came sprin but he can counter with Eyebrella, Rain Hat or been near a Lightining Rod, any base without one will burn eventualy anyway. Wes now attracts more Hounds than normal in Hound haves. This is another perk that is just to emphasize that heis unlucky, besides it's more a blessing than a curse, more loot, it will make the early game a little bit more challenging and caotic but all hounds are supossed to focusing on him anyway if he is player in a serve, giving his allies the chance to take down one by one while he runs, and in mid to late game, heck even early if someone hammer the desert, people should have a decent trap field. Mime Tools: When is empty handed he uses an invisble axe to chop trees, pickaxe to mine rocks and shovel to dig holes, the axe and pickaxe cost 1 sanity per use and the shovel 5, he don't uses a invisible spear because he is a mime of peace. Thanks to Ohan I changed this, it was fitting for him to use invisible tools but I had a poor ideia compared to this one. Wes already is a excelent character to farm nigthmare fuel, he'll still been bacause i keep the balloons costing sanity and the materials to craft axes, pickaxes and shovels are very cheap anyway. Pile o' Balloons: Removed. ( New ) Balloonomancy Tab: adds lots of news balloons for Wes and his companions. I still believe a tab is just better, and that these kind of new abilities are essencial for characters in DST. I've played DST for 485H and from my experience people rarely pick Wes because they like him, when they do people on the server complain, but this is a problem in the comunity not the character, or people pick him to troll, rigth now he dosen't bring nothing to the table it's a harder wilson, like wolfgang is a easyer one. All balloons cost 5 sanity or 1 mosquito sack. Wes now can’t craft balloons without the materials. This is just to prevent Wes to craft balloons when he has 4 sanity or less, if he has a mosquito sack in the inventory it will be used intead of his sanity, this is just because I belive mosquito sack is a item that does not have much uses, think of this like wormwood trap for bee singers, or a way he can make balloons with very low sanity. When crafted all balloons go to Wes inventori allowing him to give the balloons to others survivors Actually I'm not really sure of this one, I believe that all characters should bring something expecial to the others survivors, it's a co-op game after all, but maybe really is better is beeing the only one who can inflate the balloons, not something easy in the middle of batlle, expecialy for him. All balloons, expect the decorative and the mark, have a max duration of 3 days, be in the inventori or the world. The 3 days duration is to prevent wes from beeing a changing character, I chosse this time limit because it's the current time that the pile o' balloons can exist when in the ground. Agro Balloon: when blownup all mobs in the screen will agro at who did it. Damage Balloon: When blownup deals 15 damage nearby. Sound Wave Balloon: When blownup also blows up others balloons that the player can see and confuses close range mobs. Friendship Balloon: Can be equipped in hand, doing so will give the player a +5 sanity per minute, or can be given to a neutral creature, doing so will contract the creature for 1 minute and the creature will hold the balloon the best way it can. Throwable Balloon: Can be thrown to deal 5 damage. Mark Balloon: Marks the map! as I said none of this have been tested, and I believe that this kind of abilities are now essencial, but now that i read the commentaries, i see that some of this are stronger than intended and i'll soon edit it. Now when Wes reads signs he will do his mimic and what is witten will be shown at the server chat. Now when Wes tries to perform an impossible action he will do his mimic and what is witten will be shown at the server chat. When someone uses the decorative balloon a screen will popup and the player will select the form and color. All balloons have unic forms, so they are easy to distinguish. Balloons do not interfere when placing structures. I understand that this is a little part of his charm but, I believe is better prioritaze the gameplay and praticity aspects. New mimic animations. More decorative balloons colors and formats. Well, a man can drean, can't he?
  10. I'n writing a fanmades remake for some character and I would like to know what Wx-78 mains and people to play a lot with him, what they think about him and his strategies. Any help would be welcome.

I would like to know what else is in your mind, besides that the reason why the pile o' balloons is because i belive a tab would be more pratical for all those new ballons, nut now you give me the ideia for a mark balloon, as for the sings I just think that don't fit with the nature of the game the fact that he is not able to read them.

Yes she would break characther by eating non meat, do not fit with her mental illness. other than that I think that the rework should greathly be arrond figthing tools and special powers for this weapons and armor, similar with what we have seen in the forge. also her inicial equipment should be nerfed because she is a no brainer sinse he joins. she would be able to give this weapons, armor and helmet to other survivors but in her hands would have an addtional efect, like a battle hammer that she jumps and after that a ligthing strike, for others survivors would be just a jump.
