  1. This is exactly what I needed! an explanation, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the changes and for giving us an explanation, thank you so much ❤️
  2. This is a real issue, would be amazing if could be fixed
  3. Thank you Mr. Scott for listening to us!
  4. Absolutely agree with this. Didn't even know why they decided to change this, it worked pretty well
  5. Thank you so much! Although still this should be fixed
  6. In a normal night just starting a new game in one of your public severs, tried to wake up my Beefalo but it was impossible, the character kept saying "I can't do that" as I explain in my screenshots. I had no other choice to relog to fix it, but I lost my saddle in the process having to spend time making a new one, only to find the old one lying far away from the caves I entered... And also, now when the Beefalo does his "refuse" animation when trying to ride it, I can no longer feed him while he does it, unlike in the past hotfix, making everything even more slower.
  7. This is the problem @ScottHansen, a normal night just starting a new game in one of your public severs, tried to wake up my Beefalo but it was impossible, the character kept saying "I can't do that" as I explain in my screenshots. Please @ScottHansen! These Beefalo issues seem to be getting more and more frequent with each update, and it would be really sad if this becomes a regular thing. Please! don't let this feature get more and more annoying and bugged, please we need a fix.
  8. Now sometimes, when Beefalo falls sleep, we wont be able to make him wake up again and he will sleep forever If I rejoin the server this fixes but my beefalo losed his saddle and I had to make another one when that was at 100% :/ Please fix this, ill send later a screenshots of this
  9. Absolutely agree. Although Beefalo taming is not even remotely a main feature in the game, problems like the ones you mentioned here, are so reoccurring that they really make taming look and even just have a beefalo al the time with you, as a crude feature. Literally me, after years of taming hundreds of beefalos, the fact of possessing a beefalo, FORCES me, in addition to the bell in my inventory, to always carry a panflute, in case something attacks it, sleeping everyone would be the only way to save him, it is surprising to have to reach that extreme in order not to lose him. Being able to repair the salt licks simply by giving it more nitre or seasalt, and that they being so valuable at fully tamed, the 100% tamed beefalos going unconscious when they die or something similar to give us a short period of time in which to give they a item that revives him with low health, that would be perfect. And also, I can confirm to @JazzyGames that beefalos with 70-80% taming, when you're bucked off and the beef probably has 10% or even 0% obedience, it's not impossible, but it's quite likely you'll end up losing 1 of your uses saddle even feeding it without stopping before it hits 50%... I agree this was never an issue for years until the most recent hotfix. And just makes it simpler and more burdensome to fully tame one than it already was before. I wish the dev team could understand it, even if this whole time it was a bug, or was never planned to work like this, we, the beefalo tamers have already been used to this as a feature since taming was implemented in the game, not even in the update of the year of the beefalo this was not even modified in any way. So in my humblest opinion, I think that after we having been used to it for years, we deserve something up for us about this, if it was a bug, implement it officially, or even if they really wants to eliminate it so badly, then give us enough time to feed the beefalo 5-6 times before he does the interruptible bucking animation during 60-90% advanced taming in which the player upon being bucked off has to feed 5-6 times the beefalo to get back on. it would be the minimum...
  10. Oh my god! I find it amazing how my only question was if a certain detail of the Beefalo taming was intentionally removed or if it was a bug, and it ended up creating a whole debate about animal cruelty, woow I never thought it would go this far lol
  11. Exact! that's a point! I understand what Faintly Macabre means by "preventing something from happening with the intention of it happening", but it wasn't exactly easy or something you did without caring too much about it almost assuming it wont happend. You had about 0.5 seconds during the animation of shake of the beefalo in which to press right click at that moment to avoid the drop of the saddle, which was in turn, within the Idle state of the beefalo and the start of the shake animation was at a random moment, it could occur after that the beefalo did its animation asking for food, or it could happen immediately before that, in conclusion, it was not something easy and you had to learn the timing to get it, even if you knew the timing, there were times when you did not always achieve it because the beefalo decided to make the shake just in time when you were busy or off guard, so to feel honest... If this was never a feature, I'd love to see it implemented as one! in which if you are fast enough you can avoid a loss of a use of the saddle, what do you guys think?
  12. I see... I mean, it seemed strange to me, because it has been something that has been intact for years since the domestication was implemented to Together and then to Don't Starve, and that it was suddenly corrected so long after getting used to it as a matter of fact it feels weird.. but well, you're right, it probably never was a trhing
  13. Since the last patch I have had this doubt, now it is possible to wake them up while they are sleeping, it is a bit slower than before, but it works, however this has me a bit intrigued, spamming the "ride" action while the beefalo does its refusal animation was funny, but it was also useful as you could do it while the beefalo was doing its drop saddle animation, this was extremely useful in times of urgency like a hound attack, etc, it helps not to miss one of the 5 uses of the saddle which is not precisely cheap, so now being impossible to do that and helplessly watching your saddle lose one of its uses is quite sad, but is this intentional? Or was the above all the time never intended to be possible to do?

Steps to recreate: 1)Put a saddle on a beefalo after feeding it, hold your mouse over it, and wait for it to do its drop saddle animation which has a characteristic sound. 2)When it does, you will see how the option to ride it that appeared under its name a few moments ago, disappears during its drop animation, preventing you from doing anything about it unlike 2 patches ago.
