I don't play with alternate resources, I play default every time. Now I have a game in which there are no tumbleweeds. This is ridiculous!

Hi all, Sometimes there is no grass at all, so you can't light a fire. This happens at the start of a new game. Other times there are no twigs at all, or they are laying on the ground and not to be harvested as plants. This happens random, but I have to start a new game all the time. Does someone know what this bug is and how it can be fixed? Is there a workaround?
