UPDATED - Studio Note & Rhymes with Play Streams Temporarily Canceled.   03/06/2020

UPDATE (3/19/20): Just a quick note regarding the team at Klei Entertainment. As noted previously, everybody at Klei Entertainment is working from home due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Many of us have been working especially hard to help maintain operations as we all move out of the office and into our homes and with everything being done online, extra time must be spent in organizing conversations and trying to maintain communication. As some of you may know, we have a very open office and we are almost always in contact with each other as we go about our days. Some of us work across multiple teams and that work has become a bit more challenging for everybody.   That being said, at this time the transition has not caused any major disruption in our operations, but it would be overly optimistic to expect that we won't have any delays at all. We're going to have to be especially mindful about this in the coming weeks and make sure we don't take on too much work so we can keep things running smoothly.  We will let you know as we see how these changes affect our timelines.  Thanks UPDATE (3/10/20):
The test yesterday went well. We got the whole office (mostly) to work from home without significant issue. As a result, Klei Staff that can work from home have been asked to do so until further notice.  This means that we will have to cancel the Rhymes with Play stream until we are all back in the office. This shouldn't affect anything else at least in the short term, but if things change I will update you all here.  Original Post: Hey everybody,  This Tuesday March 10th, 2020 the entire staff at Klei will be working remotely for 1 day in an effort to prepare the studio to work remotely for a little while if the need arises.  Klei is already set up pretty well to allow for working remotely, however we are going to have a one day "dry run" with the whole studio so that we can identify and avoid any issues or downtime that may arise should choose to implement a work from home policy due to COVID-19 outbreak concerns. Unfortunately this does mean that we will be canceling the “Rhymes with Play” Art stream this coming Tuesday, however unless the situation changes we expect everything at the studio to be back to normal Wednesday and we’ll continue our regular stream schedule Thursday March 12th. If the situation changes at all, we'll let you know. Thanks for your understanding.

  1. Based on their wording: Skin droprate will increase 4x or more. A new npc will be added to convert spoils into event spoils. ------- The droprate will increase during the event in order to increase the effectiveness of the npc (or whatever it is) in aiding your search for warrior skins. Event over? No need for the droprate, as this would devalue the more rare shadow, survivor and guest of honor skins.
  2. Alright you've pushed me into drawing something for this Hamlet joke.
  3. It's called Hamlet because their houses will be on fire by the end.
  4. Things that interest me as of this update: Will the Forge be a hard and accessible underground location post-event that simply doesn't yield prizes so we can still traverse and enjoy it? Will recipes from the event as far as armor, weapons, tools and et cetera be usable in the standard DST if that area isn't accessible just for the sake of variety (and fun)? Will Hamlet detail the history on the shadow world and how the pigmen became savages? I'm going to assume the fuelweaver race corrupted the surface world with nightmares- or the nightmares in general just worked their own way from bottom to top while corrupting anything it touched. Will the main plot involving Charlie's throning and Maxwell's desire to save her (and everyone's escape) be finished even if the DLC gives us nothing pertaining to that? (Unfinished plots are no fun).
  5. I'll agree to disagree but that doesn't mean I won't relax my tone. You're a mod you already know how this goes.
  6. You couldn't have been more thoughtless about your... 'thought' process and wording. You didn't think a single part of what you said through and went on a little whinging soapbox that's only parroted by the most brainless of consumers. If you don't want to be insulted than don't make yourself deserving of it. You're not the kind of consumer this game needs to shape it's statistics and appearance in the public eye.
  7. Could you be stupid somewhere else? 1. The skins are cosmetic and thus provide no benefits. 2. Not everyone has time to participate in an event, which as far as cosmetics are concerned is a fair trade off. 3. Purchasing these skins is an OPTION- but it's an option that enables Klei to keep making things for Don't Starve (Together). 4. You can get these for free and they've provided a bonus method to make acquiring event items a lot easier should you choose to earn them. They gave you a slurry of free content and updates and you're pitching a fit over skins when it's done in the fairest way possible while they remained incredibly upfront about the benefits they gain from purchase. Nothing about their current business practice is shady and they put a lot of time into their game. If you want shady DLC practice go look at Destiny 2. Please don't let out your stupid until you form a coherent thought with good reasoning to back it up.
  8. I like the idea of all this but as someone late to the party I'm left to wonder why none of this addresses Maxwell or Charlie? I'm not against updates for fun that don't really have a main plot focus but when you make a good story you're left with people like me.
  9. No story, this is a streamer! I imagine that if I had to give her something that she'd be a tailor and make clothing items for less material and have sanity gain near teammates but lose it if she's alone
  10. Oh, that's entirely my bad I'll do delete those. And that's a character someone wanted me to draw of their girlfriend (interpreting her as a character).
