Nuclear waste will pop out of a liquid reservoir after some time rendering the point of storage moot.
Generated 5T in debug mode and filling the reservoir took about 1 cycle. This liquid will come out of the reservoir some time after finishing the pump. Recreated build in new save to upload in this report. Reservoir has just finished filling. The build is on top of map, just wait for the waste to show up.
