So, we're in PS4. Found a machine in shipwrecked that lets me hop worlds. We had several items on inventory, including the very cool volcano staff.
So we hop, onto a new world and appear on don't starve regular. We still have the items on our inventory, so that's cool. We found beefalo and for the fun of it used the volcano staff, and... Game crashes.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
