Ballphins not spawning (Palaces always dark)

Ballphin palaces are always dark and do not spawn ballphins. Building a new ballphin palace spawns a ballphin for one day, and then ballphin disappears and the palace remains dark for rest of game. 

 

Steps to Reproduce

Start new game (Hamlet compatible).

I'm also having this problem. Have made 3 separate worlds and have only seen one and shortly later it disappeared. This has been an issue for a while and I don't know if we'll ever get a fix. Such a shame because I loved ballphins

PC for me as well. I ended up finding a herd out in the deep ocean, but have yet to see any return to their palaces. They are always dark.
