Altar of the Snackrifice does not appease the Volcano

Is appeasing the volcano absolutely impossible?

I tried many times to do it, but the eruptions continued as if I hadn't given anything to the Altar. What is the point in having the Altar if it doesn't work outside the Volcano?

 

Steps to Reproduce
Give some things to the Altar in the Volcano - Descend the volcano - Outside the Volcano, eruptions will take place as usual :(

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Finally tracked this one down, it will be fixed in the next update. If you've already travelled back from the volcano after appeasing then the next earthquake will be strange, but subsequent appeasments/eruptions should work as expected.

(The problem wasn't that it was forgetting your appeasement, but that it was being appeased all the way back to a previous eruption when you changed maps! Oy!)
