When a lureplant uses certain foods as lures the food doesn't actually appear.
It does this with
- Limpets ("limpets")
- Dead Dogfish ("fish_med")
- The Minotaur Horn ("minotaurhorn")
- Deerclops Eyeball ("deerclops_eyeball")
- Swordfish ("dead_swordfish")
- Both Cooked fish ("fish_raw_small_cooked") ("fish_med_cooked")
- Wobster ("lobster_dead")
- Cooked Wobster ("lobster_dead_cooked")
Wow. Why did I list all of these, it would have been easier to just say what does appear. 
Even then there are probably a couple more things.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
