Audio settings stuck at 0

Hi Klei admin, 

Tried DS on my PC for the first time since last March, only to find that I've lost audio on both DS and DST. My Windows 10 and audio drivers are all up to date, I've tested multiple audio devices, and I've disabled all overlays. 

I've tried all the things described on https://support.klei.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029881911 and https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/137537-audio-no-longer-works/?tab=comments#comment-1539923

I've even tried manually setting the volumes in the steam game files.

Please help. Having no sound kind of takes the fun out of this game.

@applesporker Did you try this? It always works for me:

Quote

a) Go into your Windows Audio Settings;
b) select "Change other sound settings"; 
c) Click on PLAYBACK tab and right-click your default audio playback setting and choose "Properties"
d) Click on the "Advanced" tab and on "Default Format", scroll down the list and set the value to 24-bit, 48000Hz.
e) Click on the "Apply" button to complete the change.
