Walrus Tusk has no use in dlc

I bought tusk to craft walking cane only to find out that you can't craft it. Why are you able to buy this when it has no use?

I believe this is due the fact it's "oddities" they sell.

They sell lots of items that have no use in Hamlet.
I believe they're there to be brought back to the covenant to make the items there.

Not much as a bug as it's miss-use.
