Thief spawning after loading a game where you are in the village

After saving and quitting while in the village. Upon reloading the thief will have spawned, even when you have got your oincs in your backpack.

Steps to Reproduce
Have oincs in your backpack. Save and quite while in the village. Reload game, thief will have spawned.
