Queen won't Accept Crown or Scepter

I tried to give Queen Malfalfa the Crown and Scepter before the Aporkalypse started, but I didn't arrive to her castle before night-time during which she refused to accept the items. I got them both to her but she wouldn't accept them.

(Or does ot have to do with the spiders following me though the walls? No idea where they came from btw.)

As this is how you unlock Wilba I must say I feel VERY CHEATED, of this milestone as I was hoping to get it over with.
I had a hectic battle with the Queen Womant for nothing.

What gives?
