I saw Jason commented on this already. Here is the obligatory bug report. Happens when messing with crafting.

Try to craft something.
Go to bugs

I am having the problem anytime I click on anything in the crafting menu, whether I have materials to build or not. Deleted the world several times, recreated it with no changes, to no avail.  Did the same but chose Wilson instead of Wendy, and I can finally craft.  A Wendy glitch?.
