"Out of Memory" crash, with no mods enabled

DS seems to go from ~216 MB to 3.549992 GB in a linear fashion while on the loading screen  All mods are disabled and I've tried toggling different settings (eg., netbook mode, small textures). The message also reads "Don't Starve Together has run out of memory" despite being the single player version. I have used the "Report Bug" feature to upload files. Guess that slot's dead :(

Steps to Reproduce
Merge Hamlet with RoG. Explore RoG caves. Return to Hamlet during Aporkalypse. Not super sure if this works, I was on day 180. I have used the "Report Bug" feature to upload files.

....

Funny enough, the latest patch supposedly fixed the potential out of memory issue on world load. I just bought the DLC recently, and I can't even start playing, since I get the out of memory error every time I try to create a Hamlet world.
