Launch issues in Linux

Thanks for the report, I'll have to look into it, but that indeed does look like an uninitialized pointer (which is odd, this code is the same across platforms).

Did this start to happen recently?

My setup: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Wow. Really strange. I will have to investigate.

just want to concur with my linux mint version 18 also. after restarting takes two tries to launch. after exiting i am not unable to launch at all.

The isn't specific to Hamlet.  I had posted to the forum above as I saw no regular "Don't Starve" choice in the bug tracker.

I'm about to test the fix for this.
