map resets to middle if save/quit and restart inside house

If you save/quit in your house, and possibly other buildings, too, and then start up the save file again and check the map without going outside, it resets to what seems to be the very middle of the map, which in my case was just empty blackness. Only by zooming out and moving the map around did I realize that the map wasn't just missing, it was just centered on a location where nothing was showing, and where I wasn't at the time.
