Interior of all buildings is completely blackout

I am pretty sure I can interact with things based off of the sounds, but the interior of all my buildings went black... it started in  my shantyshack, but then all the stores had the same issue. I heard it may have been from saving while in the shantyshack, but I don't recall if I did that or not. I had just eaten a "turkey dinner" from my crockpot in the shanty... my map also shows up as all black when inside.... when I step outside I can see fine, then again inside I can see nothing.
