Blunderbuss Interruption Crash?

I was being chased by Vampire Bats when a pair of Pogs joined the fray. Using the Blunderbuss I shot at a bat right as the Pogs finished it off and it entered its death animation. Immediately afterwards the game crashed so I saved the crash log.

Steps to Reproduce
Shoot at a target(just the Vampire Bat?) with the Blunderbuss right as the target dies
Go to bugs

I've looked at the report and it looks like it was caused by the pog killing the bat before your shot finished, but after it had started. The blunderbuss "locked on" to the bat, the bat died and was deleted and then the blunderbuss tried to shoot something that had been deleted from the world and couldn't find it. The game didn't know how to handle this and crashed.
