You still can lose Chester using the walking cane while on a road

Yep, Chester can still stop following you if you use the walking cane on a road for a long period of time, I did not tested this with Gloomer, but is very likely it happens to him as well.

I know, but I'm tired of keeping myself from walking on roads/using the cane because of this.
