Cannot hear neutral mobs like beefalo or volt goats, no issues with aggressive ones like hounds and spiders though. Have backed up my files and verified game cache, not sure what the problem is. Please help

Steps to Reproduce
Walking through a hear of beefalo or standing near a pack of volt goats, can't hear them when passive or aggro'd. No noise what so ever, aside from me taking damage when they strike.
