some pet sound effects not affected by volume

Some critter sound effects, such as when ewelets stand on their hind legs and swing their front legs in the air, are not affected by volume settings.  I am unsure whether this includes default animations, or only those specific to pets with a dominant trait.  I observed this bug with a crafty ewelet.

Steps to Reproduce
Get a pet critter. Set all volume settings to 0. Be sure to keep your pet fed -- the hungry animation doesn't exhibit the buggy behaviour. Wait and listen.
