Planted bull kelps cause significant FPS drop

  • Known Issue

I've ran into that issue several times when i both moved kelps via boat-pushing them to the shore and replanting beached kelp stalks. Once you have around 20 of them near your base, fps drop is about ~10 from what it was before you had them and when you have 40 kelps in proximity it's very unlikely to ever reach 25 fps again no matter what stuff you had at your base. I think it has something to do with the fact that bull kelps constantly run that "moving a bit" idle animation unlike other plants which might be causing fps drop.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Plant bull kelps closely in one spot (that's usually next to your base) 2. Notice fps drop 3. Realize that it's because of the kelps and the only way to get rid of lag is to burn your kelps.

User Feedback

I noticed the same thing about a month ago when I did this. I don't know if anything has changed since then. I pushed all the kelp into one spot with my boat and I noticed significant frame per second drop.
