I'm not sure if this is still an on going issue but is 7.1 surround still considered "unsupported" as logs still say that my soundcard isnt compatible with 16-bit audio.
Is their a temporary solution that doesnt envolve uninstalling drivers, software, etc?

Use a 7.1 surround headphones( currently using razer kraken chroma edition)
