Log suit and scalemail skins do not appear as skinned when the player is wearing them. They only appear skinned when they are on the ground and in the inventory but not when equipped.

Steps to Reproduce
Equip a log suit or scalemail skin and find it appears as its non skinned varient.
Go to bugs

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Sounds like your build is missing files from the update, or there's another similar issue, can you try verifying your install?

Right-click Don't Starve Together in your Steam Library > "Properties"
Select the "Local Files" tab;
Click the "Verify Integrity of Game Files" button
When the process is complete, launch Don't Starve Together

If that doesn't fix your build, can you please send me your client_log.txt.

I tried that and every body slot skin appears correctly when equipped. (And during the life amulets Resurrection animation.) Thanks for the help!
