After murdering stacks of critters in your inventory, the stack count on the items you receive is incorrect. After clicking on the items the number is corrected.
The easiest way to test this is by murdering stacks of bees, killer bees, or butterflies, because they are all guaranteed to drop 1 item. Murder 20 bees, then look at the stack count on your honey and stingers. They don't add up to 20. click on each stack and the counters will adjust and then it will add up to 20.
After the first 20 bees I murdered, my inventory displays 13 stingers and 2 honey. That's only 15 items. But bees are guaranteed to drop 1 item, so I'm missing 5 things. I click on the stack of stingers and the 13 instantly changes to 16. Well, that's better, but that's still only 18 items total. Then I click on the honey, the 2 instantly changed to 4. Now it's correct. 20 bees murdered, 20 stingers + honey.
Catch or c_give yourself 20 bees. Right click on the stack of bees in your inventory to murder them all. Add up the number of stingers and honey you see in your inventory, it does not add up to 20. Click on the stacks of stingers and honey, then add up the numbers again. Now it's 20.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
