Instant Game Crash After Install on PC

I've installed the game on my PC after last playing the beta 3 years ago.  When I try to load the game a black screen appears for a couple of seconds and then closes.

I have removed all previous mods, deleted the mods folder, validated files.  Then uninstalled and reinstalled the game again. Validated files again.

I have checked latest drivers, reinstalled DXSetup and VCRedist.

Steps to Reproduce
Try to open game. Game crashes immediately
Go to bugs

You might have some old garbage data in your documents directory. Can you try deleting Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether.
