Game freezing up then crashing computer

At random times while playing, the game will suddenly freeze up and then crash the computer causing it to reset. When reopening the game the game no error message appears and the world resets to the last save. This problem has been happening for over a year now and has consisted to continue even after a change of laptops.

Update: It happened while the game was saving and caused all my save files to be deleted.

There are no specific steps as this occurs naturally through normal game play

Sorry to hear about this - could you provide us copies of your DxDiag.txt file as well as your client_log.txt file? If/when the game crashes or freezes up, this will also update your client_log file with information that may help us investigate the cause further. 

You can generate your DxDiag.txt by following the steps here: http://support.kleientertainment.com/customer/portal/articles/2503104

And you can find your client_log.txt file in your documents folder at Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_log.txt
