dontstarve_steam.exe has stopped working

about a month i've taken a break of don't starve, i've been wanting to get back into it but don't starve together does not want to start anymore and gives me a black screen saying dontstarve_steam.exe has stopped working, moments later on telling me to close the program and bringing me back to my library,but the stand-alone version works just fine though
i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling (several times), verifying the integrity game caches, deleting files and renewing them and waiting

i beg of you to please help me

Hello @W47K3R, welcome to the forums. Mind attaching the client_log.txt that generates in Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether after the crash happens? If it generates at all. Plus you may want to try changing the compatibility mode and/or add Run this program as administrator. Also check for windows updates and maybe reinstall/repair vcredist_x86.exe found in Steam\SteamApps\common\Don't Starve Together Dedicated Server\VCRedist and DXSETUP.exe found in Steam\SteamApps\common\Don't Starve Together Dedicated Server\DXRedist.

Not entirely sure if any of that would help but it wouldn't hurt to try. Here is the Klei Support Article that has methods you may have forgotten to try.

Then again, the client_log.txt will definitely shed some light on whats happening. Hopefully it does generate.

@W47K3R Quite a lot of stuff has been added in the last month and basing on your client_log.txt it seems your PC cannot render the game correctly anymore like it used to (I could totally be misreading the client_log.txt file though). 

Can you try and manually set the game to netbook_mode = true, by going to this location \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether. Then open settings.ini and change netbook_mode = false to netbook_mode = true. Then try again.

Also mind attaching a copy of your DXDiag.txt (source) to your next reply so hopefully the devs can chime in and confirm whether or not its due to your PC.
