Dont starve together launch crash- Mac

I have tried verifying the integrity of the game but that doesn't work.

I have deleted the game a few times and reinstalled but nope.

I have don't starve singleplayer also but that is working perfectly fine.

I can log in on another computer and don't starve together works fine.

 

this is for a Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G31)

@JackGoddard your logs is saying the following: 

[00:00:00]: Steam must be running to play this game (SteamAPI_Init() failed).

Is steam running when you open DST? Or are you opening DST with a Shortcut? Are you in Steam Beta participation (the steam platform has a beta build, which could be causing game issues for you)?

No, I have steam running when I launch don't starve together. 

 

I have also tried using launch options but nothing is working...

Thank you I just needed to update my computer to the latest OS
