Crash on startup

So i have this problem that whenever i try to launch don't starve together the screen turns black for some seconds, then crashes; i attach the files but i coundn't find the .mdmp file in the bin folder. thanks for the help

Looks like your attached files are missing. Can you try uploading your client_log.txt file after the game crashes?

posting this again because i think i didn't reply good

i suppose this is the file you are talkin about, ill put the log.txt too just to be double sure

It looks like your game scripts are broken for some reason. Can you try making sure that you're on the default branch, and then verifying your game files?

im not sure that this is correct, but if by default branch you mean the steam one by going to properties-beta then it's set to none, and there is no code set either

That's correct. You'll also want to verify your game files. It's under the local files tab, the button labeled "verify integrity of game files..."

i keep forgetting to quote post lol; did that, and unless is delete some files it always tell me that all files are verified

its also worth noting that whenever i start steam up despite the game being updated it always needs to be updated again

Even if you reboot/restart Steam right after updating? If so, then it sounds like Steam is in a bad state and is downloading the wrong versions of files.

alright so i fixed the problem with steam and now it actually downloads my game without any problems, however even after reinstalling dontstarve togheter and checking for missing files it still wont work, could you check these new log files?

Oh it looks like you might have a corrupted profile file. Can you try renaming Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_save\profile to something else?

well that was an unexpected way to solve it but it works now, thanks a lot for the help!
