Crabking Infinite Freeze

You are able to freeze crabking infinitely with ice flingomatics and smoldering object.

Simple fix would Forcefully Deactivating the Flingomatics for rest of the fight


Steps to Reproduce

1. Put 3 flingomatics on one boat

2. put dwarf star on the boat and put any burneable item under it

3. watch how the boss gets infinitely frozen

By that logic we should not be able to use flingomatics for anything other than protecting structures from wildfires ever, which would include almost any sort of farm or solo strats for bosses.

Hell, the freeze isn't even infinite, since you can break it by attacking crab king.

The flingo will repeatedly freeze him cause of the star causing the burneable item to infinetely smolder

Yes, but that doesn't mean the freeze is infinite. Crab king may get frozen over and over, but he is not gonna be frozen forever, and can still perform certain quick actions.

Doesn't the bug should be called "Crab King unable to do a normal fight because of flingomatic" i don't see any infinite freeze in that clip

This is not a game where there is only one way to kill a boss and if you don't use it you are a bad player, there can be many ways and everyone is free to use it, if I want to use flingomatics or if I want to use ice staff it is choice of each player

Yes, because of the flingomatics. That's the point.
It's a cheese strat, afterall. That doesn't mean it's a bug, nor does that mean it HAS to be patched out in a weird and arbitrary way. It's still quite a lot of setup for it and isn't fullproof, since the claws are what is arguably the most damaging thing about crab king.

They can break your boat really quickly.

Just because you can technically use flingomatics to your advantage?

But you can also freeze Toadstool like that without it being able to move a lot. 
So should flingos be forcefully deactivated for it too?

a simple solution that also will improve ice  flingotics as a way to protect bases is just making them waste fuel when they launch ice. Cheese players can keep doing this strat in bosses at the cost of few resources instead of almost free and summer will be less tedious, and btw people will complain less about it, with iceflingomatics consuming few fuel

Doesn't mean it's magically immune to flingo cheese.

By your own logic, Toadstool should somehow deactivate the flingomatics because you can use them as a cheesestrat against it

And I said that due to the low walkspeed and the animations of it taking a long time, you can cheese it really really easily. Which would effectively be no different from it being stationary.
