Very exciting update. 

1 question though. "Rocket fuel tanks need to be full for a rocket to take off." What if we only need half the tank and want to save some weight?

@Cheerio Seeing as moos require Chlorine, and Chlorine geyser isn't guaranteed, could you guy change map gen to make sure there's always one on the map?

Probably because the game now correctly identifies piles of material so both compactors, sweepers arms etc actually work now.

@Cheerio: Can you answer on whether all contents of the Rocketry Update are available in a EU savegame? Or do we need to start a new colony?

What part would i be missing then? Apart from ruins.

  • Modular rocket parts which can be assembled in a variety of ways
    • building -> available
  • A new UI screen for interacting with your fleet of rockets and their missions

  • New buildings to support rocket-related research and development
    • building -> available
  • A new critter and plant which can be brought back from space

Experimental updates aren’t for existing save games. If you want to use an existing save game and keep your game stable, wait for the patch to be live.

I guess only the changed world gen, the fossils for more lime.

Rest should be there, but current beta is very unstable, if you thinking about making a rocket, get ready for tons of game crashing.

I just made one in debug mode and game crashed after rocket took off and meteors hit something.

Actually i am more interested in incorporating the gas storages into my current base. Fossils are only for lime, right?

I don't have a fresh build to rancher yet, so a question.  Does this mean drowning tanks for Dreckos and hatches no longer works?  I've got a hatch in 350kg water that I would have expected to start turning itself into meat.

Nevermind, throw them in deep water and they still drown.

Yea its for lime production, if you don't cook oil you are safe to run old base.
