The goat itself seems like the keeper of the world protecting others by cooking stuff, hence the statue depicting a goat at the start of the movie. (GOD this got dark. :() As for steampunk, I've finally gotten around to playing "80 Days" lately. THAT is frickin' STEAMPUNK. Extremely so. And I love it. However, if you only put gears on things and wear brown instead of actually having clockwork robot butlers and underwater trains, you ain't got it. (snaps fingers sassily) (for pete's sake you ride the underwater train in THE VERY FIRST SCENE (after you leave Fogg's house, anyway). Unless you choose to go to Cambridge instead of Paris, to start, in which case you end up in an experimental gyrocopter! I think my favourite was when the mad scientist lady in the desert teleported me at gunpoint. But the giant skiing walker thing that takes you to the North Pole is also awesome...Oh and the WALKING _CITY_, how could I forget that?! And...) Anyway. Now I'm picturing undead skeleton mermaids. Merpeople, I mean. The announcement implies that a beta comes earlier in the week, but I don't know if that's referring to the release on the 14th or Monday or something along those lines. Klei always announces the release date of the full update, betas are communicated in the forums and never have a special release date, they announce the beta mostly on the day they release it. In the game it sais Gorge Beta, not TTA, for me and for everyone I talked to. It wouldn't even make sense to release TTA beta when a completely different event is about to start.
