I like how the sunglasses act as a hairbow. Gives it a different spin on the skin set.

WX's roseate skin is pretty red. Maybe not that red, but my pens are limited. It's not really my touch in this case. Thanks though!

Speaking of sketches, I was trying to figure out Wilson's pose one last time before the final, and this sketch captured the attitude better. Probably because it was larger-- I wasn't trying to fit the whole portal on the page. The paper is about 14.5 cm by 21 cm-- or 5.7 by 8.2 inches.

1. That feels like a continuation of what the Cyclum comic showed. I like how the codex is used as a "recipe" book here.
2. I prefer Wilson's facial angle here but the final product turned out fine.

I considered drawing a few more strips to accompany this one, which depict WX-78 opening all four Funko Pop boxes and discarding the figures 'cos he just wanted the skins. Wilson was a bit disappointed to see that three other characters had "religious artefacts" as well, and quickly redacted hos previous hypothesis.

do you guys ever do that thing where you listen to a song and about two lines could work well for a character and then you sort of consider that song as being that character's? It's silly and meaningless, but yeah, I've done that a few times. The trouble is, I can't decide between Iron Maiden's "Powerslave" and Black Sabbath's "Megalomania" for Maxwell. I'm leaning towards Megalomania today, but tomorrow may be different.

Note that Megalomania is nearly ten minutes long, but the first minute or two should give you an idea.

So why don't I settle for Powerslave as Maxwell's song if it has the cooler riffs? Well, that's because another Iron Maiden song, "Stranger in a Strange Land", is pretty suitable for our pal Wilson. It's about six minutes.

Yeah this song is a few millennia out of date for DS characters.

You can use Willow to justify any song that has the words "fire" or "burn" in it. So convenient.

I understand that Maxwell and Wilson are in charge, but the scientist's face makes me laugh a little. I like the way the atmosphere is conveyed here. And I remembered that comic right away.)
