I only really use Devie Bea when there's two dupes on screen in an animation, because it looks weird when two Devie Maes are fist bumping each other:

@minespatch I see you're confused.

Lemme explain. Sometime in between the first build of ONI and now, the devs changed the animation name from "body_paint_#" to "snapto_body_#", this results in the missing torso when using new ONI body swaps with old ONI anims. So I have to use the old body swaps instead.

It makes sense when you think about it. :wilson_smile:

The red crab seems to have his eyes inverted. In game he looks angry rather than sleepy (and is pretty angry when you come close to the eggs).

Iron oxide looks like a refined metal. I hate those inconsistencies. But oh well. I can live with it.

I wanted to make like an old flavor of Devie Mae, but female because that's what the base was in the old builds.

In Pre-Thermal, a lot of the now-vibrant colors in the game were a lot more muted, so that's why the hair looks so washed out. The skin color is one that's exclusive to the older builds...

And I just now realized that all the dupes in Pre-Thermal wear exclusively red jumpsuits, because the other colors didn't come until Thermal IIRC. :wilson_facepalm:

I tell myself it's because someone on the ONI team is a Star Trek fan and the red shirts were a wink to those of us who didn't realize how many dupes we'd kill in our first few colonies.

If what you're saying is the art for rust is too polished, not corroded in appearance like we'd expect, I agree, but not enough to care if remains as is.

You can't build anything with it, it's a material that I believe is solely used for the Rust Oxidizer

I dunno if it also turns Rust into usable refined iron, because I haven't really had a chance to test everything in game yet.

 

Another thing that crossed my mind: where the heck are people going to be storing/disposing of depleted uranium.

Is it something you just feed to the hatches? I can't imagine the biological implications of that...anywhere from mutated hatches, to hatch infertility, to radioactive hatches, to biomagnification and the impacts it might have on the dupes.

I do NOT want to see my dupes glowing in the dark and suddenly having a third nipple! :wilson_ecstatic:

Smooth hatches eat metal ores. maybe they could eat some of that or at least rust. Maybe we could feed lead to smooth hatches so they become a walking depleted uranium reservoir.

Well there hasn't been a game update for a while...

I can't do anything about it until someone manages to find a top-priority game-breaking bug that'll force them to throw out a hotfix.

Edit: Never mind. They just dropped one while I was out getting my new glasses. :wilson_facepalm:

Edit 2: I also didn't read that. Correctly. I had a massive change in glasses prescription, so I'm gonna blame it on the fact that my eyes and brain haven't adjusted yet.
