Ohan Posted February 2, 2019 Share Posted February 2, 2019 my first ever beefalo tame!!! gosh that took forever! i have 800+ hours into dst and this is the first time i committed to taming one coincidentally on my first solo Maxwell world too! it took almost an entire autumn 18ish days. a lot of bunny men sacrificed themselves so this big boy could have a full stomach. i used i think 90+ carrots, equal that many butterfly wings and an abnormal amount of twigs and ice as fillers for Muffins. looking forward to fighting giants with a 1000hp health pool instead of 75 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ohan Posted February 2, 2019 Share Posted February 2, 2019 im playing with Rezecib's Rebalance mod for beefalo taming! it allows u to craft a collar and name your beefalo so when it gets to 0 hp it goes into 'coma' and needs booster shot to revive. i dont think i ever wouldve tamed a beefalo without this mod. it also adds UI for the beef with hp/hunger when ur riding it. u should try it out! i think the way klei made beefalo taming is way too frustrating, this mod with the UI and collar helps a bit! Thanks for the recommendation, but I don't think I'll use it. The game is already easy enough for me and there's barely anything that punishes for mistakes - losing a tamed beefalo is one of the last such (lureplants eating up important stuff, like your sanity station, is another ). I unspooled the birdcage since I already have it. I did the parade again in order and managed to catch one of the piggies dancing. The king is not happy for my prank. A couple others watched, but I guess I can actually decently kite dfly with ping, TIL. Guess I'm too used to thinking I can only kite as host when clearly that isn't the case. Speaking of mods though, here's some worldgen I got by combining the Island Adventures mod and the More Worldgen Config mod. I got this worldgen here, I like the spawn area, and the oasis on its own island too. I think for my next playthrough of Island Adventures I am definately going to use More Worldgen Config again, it feels a little more like SW while keeping the RoG feel too.
