n37runn3r
you can eat the hatches I think. At least One of mine jumped into the water and drowned and the dupes picked up the meat and put it in the food bin. Not sure if they ate it though.

Would be nice to have fish as an alternative however. I hate eating my coal producers
n37runn3r
So far all my hatch deaths have been accidents. When I get new dupes I try to remember to turn off combat right away. I have forgot a couple times and ended up with dead ones in a build or 2.

You should then welcome the possibility of setting the combat (and art, and research...) on disable by default for new dupes in next update. n37runn3r
Yes, I would like that very much. I would prefer to have to assign everyone to a job than have to go through and tell what not to do. However, they both have advantages. Scaredy-cats, vomiters, and gastrophobics welcome!
