Setting up a trap

Can someone please explain me how to set up a trap to capture rabbits. When I try to set up at somewhere. My joystick goes there too.

Easiest way to do it is to put it out in front of a hole a rabbit is around and will run into if scared. Drag and drop it in front of where it's gonna run, sneak be hung it and chase it towards the trap. It will be caught! If you don't have time to wait just plop it on the ground and come check on it the next time you pass by, but by doing it the first way you can catch several rabbits in a day. Personally I never bother catching them unless I'm building a prestilathor because monster meat and regular meat is easy to come by. . . .and having a crockpot built will ensure that you won't be having too many food problems.

 

Edit: whoops sorry I didn't read that properly, the game is sort of bugged right now where  you may have to move back a bit, rotate your camera or play with the zoom to get it. . . It's annoying
