The blizzard howls, the blizzard sings
Raising the snowflakes up to the skies
The radio hisses, whispers and rings
Until the weak signal finally dies

The shadows sneer at your weak form
The snowstorm drowns their laugh
The guiding static is long gone
And you already had enough

The blood drips and trickles down
Making it hard to see
Last shreds of strength leave you now
And you fall on your knees

The heavy rod – a last support
Creaks and wails, keeping you still
There is no escape, no last resort
Only the merciless chill

You’re out of luck
The calm is all that’s left
And you feel them clawing at your back
The icy hands of Death

The blizzard sings its final song
Lulling you to sleep
And you give up, and follow it along
Sinking into the darkness deep

And as many times before
As your life is snuffed away
You hear the voice of King once more
“Nice try, Pal. But not today.”

I applaud to you! Holy heck, that is really good! How did you come up with a poem like that??? : D

Spoiler

An amusement park, now a deadly trap
Loops and arches and falls tied into a knot
Painted metal glistens in the light of street lamp
You think that you’re safe, but you’re not
The ride runs its course once more, rain crashes down like a wall
The abandoned tracks are unsteady and wet
Don’t slip, don’t fall
Or the joyful train cart will tear off your head...

This was really good too :) Though I'm not familiar with the content.

Well, an idea came, the voices spoke, the whispers hissed, the words formed and came out in the disjointed scribbles of madness...
"You need something DS-related? Look at that pic. Yeah, look at it. Feel something? Perfect, perfect. Now write a thing. Write a thing. Do it, do it, doit, doitdoitdoit-"
And I've pretty much wrote the entire poem in twenty-thirty minutes, with it getting longer and longer because my brain kept throwing images and sounds at me and I needed it to shut up.

It's a reference to the series "Moonlight". Particularly, to the action sequence during which "The Bird and the Worm" plays.
You posted the song, and the memories came crashing back.

@Donke60 did a don't starve poetry thread if you type in "lyrics" in the search bar on this site. I highly recommend it.

DS - Game Over.jpg

I'm not sure which part overwhelmed me, the length Wilson is buried under snow or Maxwell's antagonizing shadow. Though the next thing that came to mind is the foil-element to their contrasts as characters and personality..

Hm, I'll have to check that out. I found the song from the Clash of the Titans movie trailer.

I wonder what is there, on the lighter? A sun? A sunflower? A daisy?
I like how the torch fire looks.

Is it just me, or is there a face in the torch? :p

Oops, now I can't unsee it. And it's screaming, too...
This torch burns wayward souls as a fuel?

I think it's a daisy.

Come wayward souls
Who wander through the darkness,
There is a light for the lost
And the meek.

Sorrow and fear
Are easily forgotten,
When you submit to the soil
Of the earth.

It could be used as a blog background if you run a tumblr.

I've got a Tumblr blog, but I mostly use it to reblog stuff and **** I like there XD No DS blog to say it like that ^^; I was thinking of making it as a background banner on the forums though :3
