Chester can't transform to Snow Chester

I put one blue gem into Chester. But when it was Full Moon, Chester can't transform into its snow variation. Does Shadow Chester transformation meet same problem?

You need 9, one in each slot

If you can't figure out how to place one at a time in each slot, Hold down Ctrl and click. It will place one.

Just realized this is for pocket edition, um, I can't remember controls for that version of the game. But same rules apply, 1 in each slot, a total of 9.

You have to put a blue gem in each of Chester's inventory slot, it's not that easy ^^ So i wish you a lot of gems !

How do I separate inventory (1 gem/fuel per slot) on an XBox?

Empty Chester except for a stack of 9, then hold finger down on stack and select "split stack" over and over again until you end up with one in each slot.
