Dedicated server failed to start error

This error is on master server:        ([Error] Master Server Broadcast Error: DB_FAIL).

I changed nothing on settings. But till today I see this error on console window. And my server periodically is not visible on lobby. :( Server is fully updated. Thanks for help.

I just wanted to host a game with caves as well, I done so successfully yesterday but suddenly this morning I can't even host a game with caves without any mods.

So this is not a mod issue.

I don't know what is going wrong but I can only seem to host a game without caves.

Hi all!

I was playing with my boyfriend last night and quit the game normaly. now we cant start it. It says; dedicated server failed to start, how odd. We have the latest updates and we never used any mods. i read that you should post the client log, so here it is :) but I cant seem to find the dxdiag.txt unfortunaly :/ I have also read and desided to copy the client save, client temp and server temp in order if I have to delete the originals. I really want this to work, so please help me if you can. Much appreciated.

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue here, tried to update and restart but server still offline depite it sometimes connects.

I think that the lobby server is down or has troubles. Wait and see...

Hi there!

Since today we always get the "Dedicated server failed to start"  error when we try to start our server. It worked perfectly fine until yesterday and we didn't change anything. I attached the server_log.txt file. We tried disabling all mods, but it still won't work. Starting a new server works, though. Any help? Thanks!

I too am having this issue! 

[Error] Master Server Broadcast Error: DB_FAIL

keeps spaming my master server.

Everything was working fine as of 8 hours ago when I went to bed!!! wtf happened in the last 8 hours? fix this now! I also do not see hardly any servers online when I go into game and to the loby, usualy theres...what....1500 servers going? I only see about 47...so clearly this is a wide spread thing going on. FIX NOW!

Had same error on Linux. I just got dedicated server from steam library and run it as ./dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer

I enable port forwarding for all range in router so network is not an issue...

I am getting

when I try to play on my dedicated server, worked fine 8 hours ago didint change anything just went to bed.....I did a steam update on all my stuff to make sure its up to date...still getting error

Me too.
We are having this problem since 3 hours ago.

By the way, the manager server OS is mac.
We've backup the data and tried to start this server on Windows 7, but it shows the same error in log file.

In the Client, it shows this.

Pls help recover our data, we've tried to rollback to Day 153, so the Day154 which we exactly wanted has disappeared.
FIX NOW :(

i've the same problem here. Yesterday it was working normally, but today the servers are not able to start.

Only creating a new server without caves (!) is working.

 

Any news about this issue?
