Tainted-Petals
Another super quick sketch done just because it was raining outside and I wanted to draw sun shower as well.
Mobbstar
The wet spots on his clothes are sooo well done! Shading is top notch as always.
minespatch
Sometimes venting about the weather can lead to interesting polarizing art in terms of nature themes. Really love the peach color scheme.
Tainted-Petals
Honestly I drew this just because I wanted a butterfly. Not sure why I went with blue ink
Mobbstar
So you wanted a butterfly and had to draw an axe and half a Wilson to justify that? XD He looks like grandma.
minespatch
I think the blue ink gives a calming quality to the piece. Nice touch with the little curve at the bottom of his hair. Usually it's as spikey as the other parts but it's a interesting touch.
Tainted-Petals
Here's something I've been working with off and on for a month. Finally finished the line art, and hoping to maybe adjust one or two things and then start colouring. It's a Mucha inspired Maxwell piece.
Mobbstar
That's a CRAZY shadow hand! ...I'll see myself out. The flowers in the corners look a lot like Wendy&Abigail's, very nice touch!
minespatch
There's definitely a nostalgic tone to your work. This new art nouveu piece definitely caries the theme of your style. Anticipating the colored version. The misty lines around Maxwell are a really nice touch. Could either be the shadows or his cigar.

I actually had no idea what to put there because I was running out of ideas for what worked with Max, or could be associated with him and staring at the game icons I suddenly realized I could put those in there (and subsequently save my hide for blank space) XD

Hoping I can really make the colours work with the nouveau style as well
minespatch
Your description of your style reminds me of a Game Informer interview with the people who made TF2. They studied art like Norman Rockwell and the art of tie advertisment designer J. C. Leyendecker.

Thanks for telling me of him!
minespatch
I love classic art. My parents were antique dealers, so I haven't been out of touch with history. You're welcome, buddy.
Tainted-Petals
Finished the Maxwell piece. Also I just wanted to post here (and hope that's okay) a tip jar I've set up. I've found myself currently unemployed and every little bit helps. Thanks guys.
Ootay
Amazing art, @Tainted-Petals! I have one desire though.. Can you give me the link to your tumblr? That would be great, thanks. ~*OOTAY*~

minespatch
I love how the halo effect around his head has a warmer pallette while the areas otherwise are colder colors. What are those pink flowers above?
Tainted-Petals
@minespatch Those represent Wendy and Abigail his nieces (I tried to keep everything in it relevent to him) And I'm so happy you love the palette, I struggled figuring some of it out.
minespatch
It works. His head being warmer palette due to him trying to keep his sanity while the colder palette shows his distance from the world and his tainted magic. Showing the internal conflict of the character.
Tainted-Petals
Wanted to post this piece now that I have permission to. It was a Maxwell commission from Tumblr, their only request was Maxwell with lots of poppies. I decided to go the route of Klei's portraits. Had a lot of fun with it too
Mobbstar
Why on earth am I getting LegendOfZelda vibes from this? It's wonderful!

Tainted-Petals
Here's a King Wilson and Charlie cut image (the full pic is on my tumblr, not posting here because of boob) Please PLEASE refrain from making nasty comments that you don't like the ship okay? I enjoy it, and I enjoy making content for it, so let me be. Edited September 10, 2016 by Tainted-Petals
