Food is pretty abundant in SW and it's not hard to grab other things or want to prioritize other things. Personally i rarely touched jellyfish just because the hassle was never worth it. I'm not saying that it shouldn't drop sanity because i do think that makes sense but I'm just saying i don't think it'll affect the game much.
