Surprised 2 people don't want freedom of items. Welp can't please everyone.

TF2 used to be my favourite game until it turned into Hat Fortress 2. Screw those items

It'd be a shame if Don't Starve ended up the same way.

Think of it this way:

  • A Monarchy (Klei) produced all the amazing art Don't Starve currently has.
  • A Democracy might actually vote an unqualified reality TV host into US presidency.

Ok, time for my 2 cents:

When this kind of thing is brought up, the first thing people think is TF2, and how Valve basically got lazy and most updates from now on was just putting community cosmetics on the game, that was terrible and I agree on that.

But we're talking about Klei, not Valve.

Just because company A did one thing, does not mean company B will do it as well.

The only problem with community items is lack of quality control and just counting on them for content, if Klei kept high standards and doing their own stuff as well, I could only see benefits.
