Meritursas pulls his head back like a slingshot.  One hit would knock out the wall like a bunch of matchsticks.  And yet...as he stared at the small creatures, he started to feel something unpleasant.  He couldn't explain it, but he felt wrong.  He paused, looking dizzy; Then, almost reluctantly, he sunk back under the waves.

As an afterthought, he spits out Trevor before swimming away.

{Don't leave me behind}

Gilda had her claws latched onto the wooden mast, the tossing of the ship made her leave deep groove marks in the mast. Between the water and the creature in the water Gilda had no time to object to Jaw's clasping onto her. Her frills were flared and her eyes wide as Farmen opened the hatch and called to the remaining on deck.

She was clinging tightly still as Jaw ran onto the deck. The stupid thing was going to get its self killed! "Where are you going?!" She removed her claws from the wood and held onto the steering wheel by the hidden compartment. "Not dying is this way!"

Trevor was about to drown himself in his own tears when suddenly he was launched from out of the beast's stomach into the air. His natural reaction to this was to scream loudly and scramble around in the air. Very quickly he plummeted back into the water causing a huge splash as he sunk deep into the ocean. For a few moments nothing happened.

Something was rising back up from the water

Trevor's coat and fishing pole float up.

It seemed as if Trevor wasn't going to rise back up

Suddenly Trevor burst out of the waves and resumed frantically screaming and desperately trying to keep his head above the water.

Wiffleball immediately perked up after he heard Trevor's screams. His head snapped to the direction the sound was coming from, where he saw Trevor thrashing against the waves. He was alive! According to the shark-dog's shouts, Meritursas was gone as well. His relief lasted only a moment before he realized that Trevor was now probably going to drown. Could anyone else see him out there? He looked down, noticing Jaw cheering almost directly below him. Sharks could swim, right? With that thought, Wiffleball fished his sewing kit out from its place and threw it at the deck, hoping to catch Jaw's attention.

Gilda just stood, her hands not releasing the wheel. Did the creature really just give up its food? Was this all some sick game it was playing. Maybe being stuck on the island without fresh water and dying of dehydration would have been a better choice than entering this creatures domain.

It... It was gone. Kate let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding in. Her muscles relaxed and trembled, allowing her to move again, and little tongues of flames flickered on her arms before going out. It took her a moment to realize that someone was screaming; Trevor was screaming. She could recognize that high pitched girly scream anywhere She started uneasily staggering back up on deck.

Kate reaches the side of the ship beside the orange talking doggy, still shaky. She looked down at Trevor, and then to the dog. "Would you help him get out of the water?" She asked, not knowing if he was trained to fetch people out of the water or not but figured it was worth a try.

"FISH BOY. GO GET THE DROWING MAN! MAN IN WATER WILL DIE!" Gilda could see what the small fluffy creature was trying to do. Gilda also knew the creature was a little slow. She would get the man out of the water herself but hated the salty water.
